Indivisible: FLIPNC Hosts Beer and Politics –
with Special Guest Graig Meyer

Today, from 7 to 9 pm at the Beer Study in Durham, all are invited to grab a beer and listen as North Carolina House Representative Graig Meyer explains why focusing on the NC House to break the supermajority in the NCGA is the way forward. Then we will tell you how we can do it!

We Need to Talk Holds Second Dinner

DFO Action’s Lori Tyson held her second We Need To Talk: In-depth Conversations For Black And White Women on May 4th. There were eight women in attendance at the round table at Neo China restaurant in Durham. DFO Action members Marilyn, Rae, Kathleen and Sally where among the participants in this group. All of the women had a lot to share. There was never a dull moment during the 3-hour long conversation. Everyone enjoyed it immensely and appreciated the opportunity to learn some surprising and new things. Join the March For Truth in Raleigh

On June 3, join thousands of people in dozens of cities across the nation will gather and march to call for:

  • special counsel and independent investigation of Trump’s ties to Russia and Russia’s role in the 2016 election
  • release of Trump’s tax returns
  • full investigation of Trump’s foreign ties
  • prosecution of any wrongdoing that is or has been revealed.

In Raleigh, we will gather at Bicentennial Plaza, next to the State Capitol, NC Museum of Natural Science and NC Museum of History, 1 E. Edenton St, 12pm – 4pm. Bring your signs, spirit and voices, wear red, white & blue, and be ready to stand up for democracy!

Activist Academy – Tools to Win Power for a More Progressive Durham

People’s Alliance and Durham 4 All are excited to co-host their third Activist Academy – Tools to Win Power for a More Progressive Durham on Saturday, June 10th from 10am-4pm in downtown Durham. This year, their Activist Academy training is geared toward candidates running for local office in Durham for the first time, their campaign teams and leaders of issue-oriented organizing (such as affordable housing).
