DFO Action Monthly Meeting
All are invited to our next DFO Action meeting on Monday, July 24, 2017 at 6:45 pm at Russell Memorial CME Church, 703 S Alston Ave in Durham. This month’s meeting will focus on sexual assault and domestic violence as justice issues. We will also have updates on DFOAction’s priorities (stopping police violence; expanding healthcare access; resisting Trump and Trumpism; fighting racism, sexism and other forms of oppression; canvassing toward 2018 NC elections; resisting deportations, communications and civic education) as well as break-outs into small groups.
Also, please note:
Lori Tyson is collecting donations for the McDougald Terrace Children’s Food Drive at this meeting. This is not a typical “canned food” drive. Please bring nutritious, easy to open foodstuffs that kids like and can effortlessly consume. It does not have to be canned. Their book bags are filled on Fridays so that they will not go hungry until Monday. Think HEALTHY food!
For those who would like to deliver a donation on their own time, the location is 51-B Ridgeway Ave., Durham, NC 27701. Staff is there from 7am to 1pm, Monday-Friday.
